Become a facilitator

What is a facilitator?

Quaker Voluntary Action’s retreats are run by what we call “facilitators”. Facilitators have general oversight over the retreat, are responsible for coordinating the day to day work and reflections, and work closely with the Working Retreats Coordinator to ensure the smooth running of the retreat.

For more information, please see the QVA Facilitator’s Handbook. Please note, the “Fees” section is currently under review, so these amounts are subject to change in the near future.

How do I become a QVA Facilitator?

In order to become a QVA Facilitator, we ask that you complete an Expression of Interest form which will ask you about your interests, skills, and experiences so that we can match you up with retreats and other facilitators that compliment you and your skill-set. Following receipt of your form, we will organise a short conversation with you, usually over Zoom, to primarily get to know you better but also ask a couple of important recruitment questions that we have to ask all volunteers.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Kit, our Working Retreats Coordinator:
